At first, the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) had started as a school of horticulture under Ministry of Agriculture in 1957 to prepare Junior Technical Assistant in agribusiness. In 1968, the school was moved up to school of horticulture with two-year I.Sc.Ag. program. The school was given the status of IAAS as a constituent foundation of Tribhuvan University in 1972. Future Direction
